Telehealth FAQs

Who is eligible for telehealth appointments?

Telehealth is a great option for our established patients and even some new patient appointments.  New patients must sign our consents to treat and bill insurance forms prior to their telehealth appointment.

What kind of appointments can be done via telehealth?

Telehealth doesn’t work for every visit. Sometimes you will need to come into the clinic for a physical examination. Appropriate telehealth appointments include: lab follow-ups, medication rechecks, mental health appointments, medicare annual wellness, and many others as deemed appropriate by the provider.

What technology do you need to access telehealth options?

No app or downloads are required. To access our secure telehealth appointments, you need a laptop, tablet, or smartphone with video camera and microphone capabilities and access to the internet.

Will insurance cover telehealth appointments the same as they would for an in-person visit?

Most insurance plans will cover telehealth. Call your insurance company for more information regarding your specific plan.

How do I make a telehealth appointment?

All patients must have an appointment scheduled with our office prior to being seen. To schedule an appointment call us at 785-587-0570.

How do I access the telehealth platform on the day of my appointment?

The day of your appointment call our office 10 to 15 minutes prior to scheduled appointment time to virtually check in to our office. We will charge your copay at this time accepting most major credit cards. After the phone call to the office, proceed to the virtual waiting room of your provider. The link to those waiting rooms are shown here.
